Born near a forest in Mount Holly, New Jersey. Named after my father and my great grandfather, both Antonio. Attended parochial grade school and pagan high schools. Dropped out of Rutgers University. First poems published on the front page of alternative weekly Distant Drummer in Philadelphia. My daughter, granddaughter and family still live in the Philadelphia – South Jersey area.

Married Caroline Bowler and moved to England in 2007. Southwest France and Mallorca. The hilltown of Arpino. Venafro and Rocco Calascio in Abruzzo. Venice. At festivals and readings I am still introduced as a San Francisco poet, which is only partly true: many years in San Francisco, but nine years in Hawai’i and more in Europe.
